A musical journey through southern Italy, where the winds of the Mediterranean blow. This trio of women, deeply rooted in the Mediterranean region, draws inspiration from a variety of influences from here and elsewhere. They sing about their similarities and differences, inspired by the cultural mix that drives them. Collected directly or passed down by their masters, these traditional songs weave together the common thread of their show: songs of love and work, ritual and forgotten songs, arranged in a classical or popular style, with particular attention to the nuances of Mediterranean dialects, expressions found in each other’s languages, common elements, and similar etymological roots…

Avita shares connection to the Mediterranean as a place of crossroads and the defense of oral tradition as a means of transmission. Avita gathers Morena Campani (voice, guitar), Joséphine Lazzarino (voice, percussion), Claire Spangaro (voice, Cello) three women whose sensibilities and worlds are united through music.
