On the occasion of the publication of his book OBAFGKM by Naïma Publishing, Bertrand Rigaux gave a reading of his poetic works. Originally a visual artist, Bertrand Rigaux has chosen text as his medium of choice. The precise yet multifaceted nature of textual material struck him as an ideal vehicle for conveying the imagination. Whether spoken aloud, displayed in an exhibition space, or on the pages of a book, the words and their resonances seem to him today to be the finest way to get to the heart of our relationship with the world.

Based in Paris, Bertrand Rigaux is a graduate of the Marseille School of Fine Arts and Le Fresnoy, the National Studio for Contemporary Arts in Tourcoing. His artistic practice, developed since the early 2000s, now lies at the intersection of poetry and the visual arts. Durations, rhythms, measures, and even grammars form a constitutive framework for his work, whether it takes the form of still videos, poetic writing, repurposed objects, or—why not—a concert.
