A table, a face, a distorted light, Benoist Bouvot’s sound work and the chiaroscuro power of the words by poet Ghérasim Luca.

Through twenty-three letters sent to an unknown recipient, collected in his work Levée d’Écrou, Ghérasim Luca offers readers the incredible and dizzying adventure of liberation through absence, a tacit embrace ‘separating a free being from another free being to the very depths. Through this performative and audio reading, Renaud Bertin brings to light the jerky light of the Romanian poet’s intense universe.

Levée d’Écrou was created together with musician Benoist Bouvot.

Renaud Bertin was trained as an actor at the Conservatoire National de Montpellier, then studied music at the conservatories of Aix-en-Provence and Montpellier, specializing in violin, orchestra, and singing.
Very active in theater, where he is equally at ease in classical and contemporary repertoire, he also lends his voice to numerous projects: documentaries and fiction for radio, dubbing, and audiobooks, as well as teaches reading-aloud.Renaud Bertin, perfromance Levée d’écrou, 2024.
